At MY LITTLE BITE, we take food safety and customer satisfaction seriously. As a registered home bakery operating under Wokingham Borough Council’s Food Hygiene guidelines who attains Food Hygiene Rating 5, we follow strict procedures to ensure your cakes arrive fresh, safe, and beautifully presented.
Delivery Policy
Clean & Safe Transport
All cakes are delivered in sanitized, food-safe containers. Our delivery vehicle is cleaned regularly and used solely for transporting food during deliveries.
Temperature Control
Cakes containing fresh cream or other perishable ingredients are transported in insulated carriers with cool packs to maintain safe temperatures below 8°C, in line with food safety regulations.
Secure Packaging
Each cake is carefully packaged to prevent damage, contamination, or tampering. We use sturdy, food-grade boxes and protective inserts to preserve the design and freshness.
Delivery Records
We maintain detailed records of each delivery, including time, recipient, and product details, to ensure traceability and accountability.

Collection Policy
Designated Collection Point
Customers collecting orders will be greeted at a clean, designated handover area separate from our kitchen. This ensures minimal contact and a smooth experience.
Scheduled Pick-Up Times
Collection slots are arranged in advance to avoid overlap and ensure your cake is freshly prepared and ready on time.
Allergen & Handling Information
Each order includes clear allergen labeling and care instructions. Please inform us of any dietary requirements when placing your order.
For any collection in person, MY LITTLE BITE WILL NOT be responsible for any damage to any product once it is picked up, and it is at your own risk and your responsibility to plan ahead as to how you intend to transport it.
Our products, mostly customized cakes, do not typically have a tailor-made sealed box to put it in. To minimize any possible damage during transportation, make sure you have a clear, flat spot in your vehicle for transportation, ideally using a non-slip mat. We DO NOT recommend placing it on a car seat.
Extreme Weather Arrangements
Your safety and our quality come first
To ensure the safety of our customers and the integrity of our cakes, we follow strict procedures during adverse weather conditions. These arrangements reflect our commitment to reliable service and compliance with local safety guidance.
⚠️ Temporary Suspension of Services
- All collection and delivery services will be suspended during severe weather events, including:
- Met Office Red Weather Warnings
- Local flood alerts or road closures
- Heavy snow, high winds, or storms that pose a risk to transport or safety
- Services will resume promptly once conditions improve and it is safe to do so.
📅 Rescheduling Orders
- Orders affected by extreme weather will be rescheduled for the following day, subject to availability.
- Please contact us as soon as possible to confirm your revised collection or delivery time.
🚫 Cancellation & Refunds
- Orders cannot be cancelled or refunded due to weather-related disruptions.
- If you wish to reschedule beyond the following day, the order will be treated as a new booking and charged accordingly.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during unpredictable conditions. Our priority is to deliver your cakes safely, beautifully, and with the care they deserve — even when the British weather has other plans.
